questa ? la spiegazione/traduzione di "AN" che ho trovato su un sito vette:
Hi,
I try to explain my request.I try my best.
When I see in some catalogue the plumbing section I find two tipe of size:
3/8'',1/2'',5/8'' etc..
and :
-4AN,-6AN,-8AN etc..
Someone can post some conversion table between the two different size?
AN stands for Army/Navy and is a MILSPEC standard. It is the hose diameter in 1/16" So a -4AN would be 4/16 or 1/4". -6AN would be 6/16 or 3/8" and so on.
Also AN flare fittings us a unique 37 degree single flare.
Each -AN size is a multiple of 1/16"
For example:
-8AN = 1/2" (-8 = 8 x 1/16" = 8/16" = 1/2")
-6AN = 3/8" (-6 = 6 x 1/16" = 6/16" = 3/8")
questa non la sapevo,
grazie chevy 350
