ISS flight over Rome
#1
Ieri non ero in ufficio e quindi non lo sapevo nemmeno io! :approv:

Stasera' provero' a dare un occhiata... :ghghgh:

With the clear sky tonight over Rome you will be able to watch a very spectacular overflight of the International Space Station.

At 21:25 CET you will see the ISS rising over the horizon from the Northwest (i.e. from Civitavecchia), then flying over Rome, where it will nearly reach zenith at 21.27 CET and then the reflected sunlight will fade out close to the horizon in the Southeast (i.e. towards Frosinone) when the Station will enter the Earth's shadow at 21:29 CET.

With all the new laboratories and solar panels added this year, including Columbus and the temporarily attached ATV, the ISS will be by far the brightest object in the sky and today is the best and most comfortable viewing opportunity for the coming weeks. In fact, there will still be

two other, but much less spectacular opportunities, one tomorrow,

6 August, and the other on 8 August. and towards the end of August we will enter into a period of very early morning viewing opportunities.
